Book spine type rubber dam: The cross-sectional shape is the same as that of a book, with a special overall spine structure; The production process requires one-time molding and overall vulcanization; When the dam crest overflows, the spine area can lift the water flow to form a waterfall landscape and counteract the vibration caused by the water flow; When the dam collapses, it can be tightly attached to the foundation bottom plate and fully collapsed. A rubber dam with a flat shape and a simpler structure that does not cause sedimentation in front of the dam and has higher flood discharge capacity.


During the operation of dam collapse, it closely adheres to the foundation bottom plate: the thickness of the bottom is only 3-5cm, without the traditional "pipe shaped" dam tail of 20-40cm after the collapse of the water filled rubber dam bag. It is flat, does not block water, does not cause sedimentation in front of the dam, and has higher flood discharge capacity. At the same time, the wave breaking function of the "spine" further solves the vibration problem caused by downstream negative pressure during the operation of the rubber dam, resulting in a longer service life.

The service life of rubber dam bags is generally 15-25 years.


Application area 

Rubber dams are mainly suitable for low head, large-span gate and dam engineering, such as serving as gates or movable overflow weirs on reservoir spillway to increase reservoir capacity and power generation head; Used as a low head, large-span rolling dam or overflow weir on rivers, without the need for conventional gate hoists, working bridges, etc; Used as an inlet gate, diversion gate, and regulating gate on the canal system, it can conveniently store water and regulate water level and flow rate; Used as a breakwater or tidal gate along the coast, it is more effective than metal gates as it is not affected by seawater erosion and marine life; Used for upstream and downstream gates of large-span orifice locks; Used for construction or activity cofferdams, rubber activity cofferdams can be raised or lowered in height, and can overflow from the top of the cofferdam.
